This weekend I will visit the Wildflower Festival In Dahlonega Georgia. Since I am wild about Wildflowers and paint them often, I may do this art fair festival next year and sell my originals as well as prints there. If that happens I will let you know here in my Blog. This will be a great weekend get away and hopefully I will also get to paint some scenic place while I'm gone. If you read this and you also will be at the festival, why don't you drop me a line and maybe we can meet. If you like I can bring some of my original paintings for you to view. Here is some information on the Festival.
Mountain Flower Fine Art Festival
The 25th Annual Mountain Flower Fine Art Festival will be held Saturday May 21 and Sunday May 22nd, 2011 on the Dahlonega Public Square.
Come out and enjoy over 70 artists of all varieties and even watch some of them as they create their art on the spot. From pottery to two dimensional art to photography, we have something for everyone.
Along with all the fine art, there will be the Garden Expo located in Hancock Park. This is produced by the Master Gardeners of Lumpkin County along with the support of MFAF. The Expo will include large plant and seed sales, as well as speakers hosting programs on a variety of garden related topics. A demonstration garden featuring native plants and wildflowers will be on display. The Garden Expo will have “Future Gardeners” activities for children.
The Dahlonega Farmer’s Market kicks off its season this weekend in Hancock Park. Locally grown vegetables and fruits along with homemade jams and other items will be available for purchase. Some of my Paintings were selected (with the wonderful help of Art's Clayton Georgia) to be hang at the Georgia State Capital. They can be seen by the Public. I obtained two photos of two of the paintings from Art's Clayton Gallery Assistant Courtney, who was instrumental in this whole accomplishment. There are three more of my paintings of which I do not have photos.
I was told they are in non public offices and photos could not be taken at the time.
Here are the two main ones that are actually in the main lobby, where the sign in book is.
There are three other paintings and to my knowledge they are all in various offices in the Capital. I hope to get someone to take photos of them. It seems difficult to get any photos in those areas. Here are the Paintings.
BTW if you are an individual that has been in the Capital and seen the paintings I would love to hear from you. Especially if you know the whereabouts of the other three or have photos of them.
They will all be hanging there until next year around May 2012. Until then the originals will not be available for sale.
My Georgia Paintings and Photography are available as prints.
