Description

This is a stunning large oil painting and it's name is Venice Italy Mystery City. So why do I paint or better did I ever start to pant Venice?
It isn't because I went there and experienced the bubbly colorful Venice we see in tourist brochure. 


When I was about 14 years old I watched "Wenn Die Gondeln Trauer Tragen", that is the German version of "Don't Look Now" but I since watched the English version and one that is more authentic.
I was at my grandparents house and as I often did, I watched American Movies. Well this movie plays in Venice Italy, has a deep mystery story and I fell in love with it. I was a very different sort of child and young person then my peers.
Never much interest in pop culture but I did seek out the mysterious, the unexplained, maybe a bit of scary and tragic themes including love stories. Those were the stories I was drawn to. Even as a child I had an understanding of the supernatural. So "Don't Look Now" was always a film that stuck with me

THIS IS A REAL OIL PAINTING that I painted with real paint that came out of a tube, real brushes and real painters knifes on cotton canvas.
