I painted this stroke by stroke with digital brushes. Using opaque and wet on wet settings and varying my brush choices and tools until I had the desired results. From a distance it appears realistic but whne examined closer you will see the abstract elements, layers, edges that are varied, there is lots of interest in this piece.
My starting point was one of my original oil paintings that you can see here as well.
