Description
Thistle Concerto Watercolors and Ink Art
If I had to associate thistles to a kind of Musical piece, it would be Sergey Rachmaninov Piano Concerto #2 in C Minor, Op. 18
I rarely find the words to describe and express how I see nature, what I feel about flowers, maybe it is why I paint them.
Please forgive me if I refer you to a most fitting poem, by Emily Dickinson. With her words she paints with soft brushes in magical hues.
"Flowers, well if Anybody"
Flowers—Well—if anybody
Can the ecstasy define—
Half a transport—half a trouble—
With which flowers humble men:
Anybody find the fountain
From which floods so contra flow—
I will give him all the Daisies
Which upon the hillside blow.
Too much pathos in their faces
For a simple breast like mine—
Butterflies from St. Domingo
Cruising round the purple line—
Have a system of aesthetics—
Far superior to mine.
